Position Vacant: Senior Family Law Paralegal (5+ years)
The Firm
CLO Lawyers is a major regional law firm based in Toowoomba, employing 13 solicitors and approximately 30 staff. The firm has an established reputation for professionalism, stability and a positive, family-oriented culture.
Family law is a core area of practice, with a dedicated team of four family lawyers and two experienced paralegals.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced family law paralegal (5+ years) who is interested in a senior, autonomous role within a collaborative and well-resourced family law team.
You will work closely with an Accredited Specialist Family Lawyer who:
- Delegates effectively and extensively
- Does not litigate
- Practices collaborative, non-adversarial family law
The role is structured so the lawyer can focus primarily on client service, with the paralegal taking responsibility for file preparation and progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of property settlement and parenting matters
- Preparation of Applications and Financial Agreements
- Independent drafting of correspondence and legal documents
- File management, task prioritisation and follow-through
- Confident acceptance and completion of delegated work

What we are looking for from you
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience as a family law paralegal or senior legal assistant
- Strong working knowledge of Applications and Financial Agreements
- Comfortable working with autonomy and responsibility
- Organised, efficient and deadline-driven
- Interest in collaborative, non-litigious family law practice
